Just as faith communities work together to serve a larger vision for a better world, credit unions value a connectional community in service to members. The nationwide CO-OP network is an example of this. Interfaith FCU’s participation provides members over 5,000 Shared Branches and over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs across the United States.
What is CO-OP Shared Branching, and what does it mean for me as an Interfaith FCU member?
It means you can walk into a CO-OP participating credit union to make withdrawals, deposits, transfers, account inquiries, as well as payments on your IFCU loan just as you would at Interfaith FCU. This can beneficial when you are traveling or if you do not live near one of IFCU’s 5 primary branches. You must go inside to the teller counter, provide a government-issued photo ID (such as your driver’s license), know your IFCU account number, and sign for your transaction. If you belong to another credit union in the CO-OP network you can do your IFCU business AND your other CU business at Interfaith FCU in the Montclair, CA branch as well as the Knoxville, TN branch. IFCU is pleased to also serve members of other credit unions at these two locations.
The CO-OP ATM network includes many credit unions as well as select locations of 7-Eleven, Circle K, Costco, Publix, Dunkin Donuts, and other regional convenience store locations. Check the locator to confirm participation. Some even take deposits!
